Happy New Year!
After a difficult 2021 for everyone involved in planning weddings, from our fabulously resilient couples, to caterers, celebrants, florists, musicians and more, Christmas and New Year provide a much needed period of calm and rest. Our team are taking a well-earned break (apologies if you don't get an immediate response to your email) and we'll be back on it from 5th January! The diary for 2022 is full to the brim - but 2021 has taught us that we're capable of a lot more than we ever thought possible. From a leisurely five days between weddings before the pandemic, at some points in 2021 we have had THREE HOURS! But, as always, our team have pulled together and never compromised on standards. This is a chance for James and me to thank everyone involved for their incredible fortitude throughout - what incredible suppliers we work with and what an amazing team we have! And a final mention to everyone who has married at Inchyra this year, or is marrying here in 2022 - you have been incredible!
With best wishes
Caroline xx
You can still visit us - virtually!
Times are definitely different at the moment and we are all having to learn to operate in new ways. Some of these are proving to be ways that are likely to be adopted fully in the future - and key among these is the virtual tour. We have been showing couples from all over the UK and around the world everything that we can offer at Inchyra by one to one (or two!) video link and it's really working. Of course we fully understand that you will want to see the Byre in person but we're giving peace of mind if you book in that we will fully refund any payments made if you were to find you don't want to confirm the booking once you visit. We're pretty confident you'll still love it!

Worldwide Wedding Venue of the Year - DWHA Awards 2018
We are absolutely delighted to share with you all that The Byre at Inchyra has won Worldwide Wedding Venue of the Year in the DWHA Awards.
We can't even begin to put into words our gratitude towards all of our amazing couples past, present and future, our suppliers and of course the Inchyra team - your hardwork, imaginative ideas and incredible creations are what has enabled us to become the venue that we are today.
What an honour it has been to acheive such an award, leaving us to wonder - how does it get better than this?!
Our newest addition - The Stable Yard Bridal Suite
2018 brought with it the grand opening of our newest addition, The Stable Yard Bridal Suite. An immaculately refurbished section of the old Stable Yard, which was originally the carriage shed. In the early 1900s, the carriage shed was converted into a garage, complete with inspection pit for the exciting arrival of cars.
It has now entered its next chapter and definitely, it's most luxurious! The suite comprises one huge bedroom/sitting room, a luxury bathroom and a gorgeous country kitchen. Get ready on the morning of your wedding with your bridesmaids and family, sipping on chilled fizz or relax the night before in the big tub.
With high ceiling windows, natural light floods the main room making it a paradise for photographers. The wood clad wall adds the perfect amount of rustic love, whilst the pastel colour scheme throughout calms and relaxes.
We couldn’t think of a better way to start and finish the best day of your life!
Byre Wedding Features on Love My Dress
We were so happy to see Lisa and Steve's stunning day featured on the awesome Love My Dress wedding blog. With some of the most amazing photographs by The Twins Photography and an unbelievably good video from Cinemate, the day couldn't have been captured better. Lisa and Steve worked with our friends at LemonBox Studios to create their day and the results speak for themselves. Just wonderful. CLICK HERE TO READ THE FEATURE.
UK Rustic Luxury Venue of the Year!
We are over the moon to let you know that the Byre has been awarded UK Luxury Rustic Venue of the Year 2018 by LUX magazine in it's first ever Year in Review awards. We were lucky enough to be awarded Best Wedding Venue Perthshire earlier in the year - all the award winners for the year are then put forward to the Year in Review awards and it is just wonderful to have been chosen from among the other award winners. It's a testament to our wonderful team, the beautiful building and estate that we are lucky enough to work with and to the fabulous wedding suppliers that work with us here. What a great way to end the year!
Into A New Year!
Here we go into another action-packed year at the Byre! We're closed for January and February as we get the Byre and Estate at Inchyra ready for the year. Building work is about to start on the new Bridle Room in the Stable Yard and for the next two months we'll be busy cleaning and mending and tidying and updating ready to hit the ground running when the first weddings start at the beginning of March.
The Byre hits Rock My Wedding!
Wondeful to see Layla and Alistair's super cool Byre wedding popping up on super blog Rock My Wedding this week. With top Glasgow event stylists Lemonbox Studios involved and Alistair and Layla's very hip wish list this was always going to be an amazing wedding. Fabulous photography from Claudia Rose Carter.
Bryony and Dominic's beautiful Walled Garden wedding
We were absolutely delighted when Bryony and Dominic Bargeton chose Inchyra for their wedding - Bryony is Event Designer at top Edinburgh Venue Mansfield Traquair and so we were hugely flattered when they chose us! And really excited to see what wonders were in store for the Byre and the estate. We weren't disappointed - Bryony pulled in some amazing people to work with and the results were stunning. Planet Flowers pulled out all the stops in the Byre with a truly amazing hanging scheme of flowers and lanterns above the tables, with a mass of trees in the troughs and then created a beautiful ceremony in the Walled Garden with benches and pretty groupings of lanterns and flowers at the end of each row and a stunning centre piece. Lazy Sunday, as always, came up trumps with food that not only tasted delicious but looked amazing. And the whole thing was recorded in images by Claire Juliet Paton and video by Erin Rose Films - both of which are just gorgeous.
